Experience Christchurch Kayak Hire with ShoreSports

Kayaking is well suited for absolutely anyone, no matter what your previous experience or age. A relaxing and fun way to get about the harbour and enjoy the local scenery. Harbour is tidal, so water level varies and area vary daily.

Day hire available daily.

About

  • Hire a kayak and paddle up the river to the Priory at Christchurch, go to the nature reserve or just paddle around in the bay by the green.
  • Whatever you do this is a great way to get out onto the water and enjoy this safe and tranquil setting.
  • Please be aware at low tide the area is restricted, this marked on the hire slots. It is still possible to go out, but you need to stick to the channels and walk out over the sandy mud to the water. Our staff can direct you and help you take kit out.

At ShoreSports we use mostly easy to use Feelfree sit-on top kayaks, both doubles and singles.

Please Note:

  • Age 16 can rent alone, permission from 18 and over for under that age
  • Under 12’s must be accompanied by an Adult, participants can be all ages
